Our story
UpyL printers was founded in 2021 by a small team of engineers and designers who shared one frustration: 3D printing, in 2021, was still too hard. The machines were loud, the software was fragile, and the price tags were unreachable for most people.
We set out to build a printer that any adult could unbox, plug in, and have a finished part within an hour. No calibration ritual. No firmware debugging. No $4,000 entry fee.
Three years and four prototypes later, the OBSIDIAN FORGE X500 ships to 47 countries. It prints its first part in under 12 minutes, costs less than a mid-range laptop, and is backed by a 2-year warranty.
We are still a small team. We are still obsessed with simplicity. And we are just getting started.
